Intermap Technologies Partners With Lowrance To Provide AccuTerra GPS Maps

Intermap Technologies have announced that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Lowrance, a leader in outdoor navigation and wholly-owned brand of Navico Holding AS to offer AccuTerra maps for the Brand's enhanced outdoor GPS devices.

Under the terms of the agreement, AccuTerra GPS maps will provide users with detailed roads, trails, terrain, topographic contours, points of interest, and land management maps.

"We're excited that Lowrance customers will benefit from the best GPS recreational maps on the market," stated Michael Bullock, Intermap's vice president of consumer electronics.

"AccuTerra maps provide users with a superb outdoor experience, much better than today's basemaps or enhanced content. As part of this agreement, European Lowrance users will benefit from Intermap's superior NEXTMap Europe terrain data."

"Lowrance is dedicated to providing our customers with the most rewarding GPS user experiences possible," said Navico President and CEO Jens-Thomas Pietralla.

"High-quality AccuTerra map products allow us to further enhance our superior line of GPS devices and we are pleased to enter into this partnership with Intermap."

AccuTerra GPS maps will be available for Lowrance customers on compatible products in 2009 with multiple variations to meet a wide variety of customer needs.
