Veteran Producer Becomes Hollywood's Biggest Re-Producer

Studio G specs include LED lighting equipment that requires less power while keeping sets, and crews, cooler.

John 'JC' Caldwell and EcoManiacal Set New Industry Standard With First All-Green Studio. EcoManiacal Productions has tapped producer John "JC" Caldwell as the company's Chief Operating Officer. Caldwell will oversee development of the corporation's many divisions and implementation of their environmental policy.

The announcement was made today by EcoManiacal's President, Underhill. "JC's knowledge of production makes him ideal to spearhead this revolutionary project, helping us reinvent the Hollywood business model by making it environmentally responsible," said Underhill.

"I'm very excited about this expansive project," added Caldwell.

"We are re-examining all production and office policies, applying existing proven practices and involved in R and D of new technologies by creating strategic alliances with green industry leaders. This is most evident in our relationship with Kyoto Partners Group, a global investor in alternative fuels and next generation green technologies. They are looking to us to push the envelope even further."

Caldwell must complete the first all-green production soundstage, Studio G, a 24,000 square foot facility in the Arts District of Los Angeles. Currently home of the company's first two eco-cool television projects "Finding Green" and "Ultimate Green Machines."

Studio G specs include:

- LED lighting equipment that requires less power while keeping sets, and crews, cooler.

- Powered via a bio-diesel generator. Installation of a massive solar-powered system is underway, which will produce eight times the power the stage will ever need.

- New stud walls, bullpen counters and desks constructed solely from reclaimed lumber.

- Structured Lumber and Wood I-Beams, which use 60% less wood than traditional lumber.

- Denim soundproofing, recycled furniture, Energy-Star appliances, On-Demand hot-water system.

- Office flooring made of 65% post-industrial recycled content and wood doors that utilize lumber from Forest Stewardship Council.

John "JC" Caldwell is an accomplished television, commercial, film and theatre producer. He has a thorough and extensive knowledge of business and management from working on various projects with NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS and FOX.

VRB Power Sells Two VRB Energy Storage Systems To Winafrique Technologies

VRB Power Systems announces the sale of two 5kW x 4hr VRB Energy Storage Systems ("VRB-ESS") to Winafrique Technologies Ltd., of Kenya ("Winafrique"). The systems will be deployed in two remote cellular telecommunications sites in Kenya with Safaricom Limited, the leading mobile telephone operator in Kenya which is owned by Telkom Kenya and Vodafone Group Plc ("Safaricom").
