Hollywood CA (SPX) Dec 11, 2008
Rainbow Solar announces the world's first, transparent, photovoltaic-glass window which generates 80 to 250 watts of electricity. This is the next-generation of BIPV (building integrated photovoltaic), an enclosed super-tempered glass window system, with a patent pending, fully integrated, multi-tier PV and heat insulation technology.

Up to 9' x 9' size with comprehensive options to meet design, weather, climate, and building code requirements.

RSi also embedded many smart home technologies, including an optional built-in electrical privacy curtain, to completely block out an already shaded glass window, and a new technology that converts the entire window into a light panel.

RSi is working with top architects and developers to incorporate this revolutionary PV-Glass Window into signature projects in Hollywood and Las Vegas. RSi is also looking to localize production by licensing glass window manufactures in the US and Canada.

Windows of the Future
The RSi PV-Glass Window uses the sun's light and heat, to generate electricity, reduce heat, and provide a semi-transparent display.

The RSi PV-Glass Window has proven energy savings greater than 50% in a hot-house test, according to a study conducted by the NTUST (National Taiwan University of Science and Technology), under the directorship of Professor C.H. Young (Ph.D.). This ground breaking case study recently received coverage by the Discovery Channel.

The RSi Power Independence Evolution
Rising energy prices initiated the renewable energy revolution, moving from centralized-grid infrastructure to self-sustaining energy, a Power Independence evolution. Of all the renewable energy solutions, solar is the only affordable solution that can be applied on an individual's property that is truly self sustaining and low maintenance.

The power generating RSi PV-Glass Window is an important step to seamless BIPV that doesn't require architects, developers, or builders to make big design changes.

RSi is also introducing the first modular Megawatt PBS/UPS power storage system. It uses a new battery technology with a projected lifespan of 55 years (US Energy Sandia Lab test results).
