Convergence Ethanol Delivers Intelligent Filtration System To CA Oil Refinery
Los Angeles LA (SPX) Feb 14, 2007 Convergence Ethanol has delivered its latest Intelligent Filtration System (IFS) to Chevron's El Segundo, Calif. oil refinery. This advanced filtration system improves the production of cleaner-burning, reduced-sulfur motor fuel, supporting refinery environmental improvement goals. Born of fourteen years' oil and gas filtration engineering experience, IFS integrates previously separate units into a dynamic filtration system. Engineered for ease of operation and maintenance, it gives the refinery exceptional and coordinated control. Ecological benefits of the energy-efficient design include a dramatic reduction in the volume of hazardous waste. Initiative Will Put Illinois At Forefront Of Farm Bioenergy Production
Champaign IL (SPX) Feb 07, 2007A $500 million research program announced today by the energy company BP will bring farm bioenergy production to Illinois on a grand scale, say researchers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Illinois will join the University of California at Berkeley and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in forming the new Energy Biosciences Institute, with UC Berkeley taking the lead. |
