Yingli Green Energy Signs A Polysilicon Supply Contract With Sailing
Baoding, China (SPX) May 29, 2008 Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited has announced that it has entered into a polysilicon supply contract with Sailing New Energy Resources Co., Ltd. ("Sailing"), a rising player in the polysilicon industry located in Chongqing, China. Under the terms of the contract, Sailing will supply polysilicon to Yingli Green Energy from the fourth quarter of 2008 through the end of 2010. The total amount of polysilicon to be supplied under this contract will allow Yingli Green Energy to produce a total of 160 MW to 200 MW of PV modules, subject to the production ramp-up schedule of Sailing and further negotiations between the two companies. "We are delighted with the contract entered with Yingli Green Energy, a reputable player in the PV industry for its product quality and well-known brand name. This contract will further enhance Sailing's position as one of the major suppliers of high purity polysilicon in China's solar industry," Mr. Xiang Xu, CEO of Sailing, commented. Evergreen Solar Signs Up A Billion Dollars In News Sales
Marlboro MA (SPX) May 29, 2008Evergreen Solar has signed two new long-term sales contracts. Yesterday, Evergreen Solar and German-based Ralos Vertriebs GmbH signed an agreement valued at approximately $750 million for panel deliveries beginning in 2008 and extending through 2013. Combined with another agreement signed last week with a United States-based installer, Evergreen has new contractual backlog of approximately $1 billion. |
