Simulators for tactical anti-submarine systems training and sonar systems use are to be provided to an unidentified Asian country by the ECA Group.

The French company, a subsidiary of Groupe Gorgé, said the simulators will enable sailors at all levels to become familiar with the tactical procedures and sensor settings for the equipment in realistic scenarios.

"The anti-submarine warfare system and the sonar simulator provided to this customer represent a high-end system that will be used for the tactical training of crews as part of the simulation of operations likely to require surface vessels, submarines and helicopters," ECA said.

"Thanks to its recognized expertise in the naval simulation market, ECA Group was able to present its customer with a comprehensive solution perfectly in line with the training and assessment requirements of its crews, and which includes the design, delivery, training and customer service associated with these simulators."

The number of systems ordered, their value and their delivery schedule were not disclosed.
