Washington (AFP) May 13, 2008 The United States has no plans to send aid to the victims of cyclone Nargis without the permission of the authorities in Myanmar, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Tuesday. "We are doing everything that we can because this is a humanitarian, not a political issue. We want to make very clear that our only desire is to help the people of Burma (Myanmar)," Rice said when asked if Washington was considering forced intervention.
