Trina Solar has announced the UK launch of its Trina Solar Training Academy. The UK launch follows the Training Academy's successful introduction in Germany, with over 200 participants trained since March this year. The first UK online seminar will take place on 6 July, while the first one-day workshop will be held in Chesterfield on 10 July.

The Trina Solar Training Academy is primarily aimed at distribution partners and installers working with Trina Solar products, delivering product information, hands-on training, and marketing and sales support through a combination of online seminars and on-site workshops. Participation is free of charge, requiring only a simple online sign-up.

During the first online seminar on July 6 at 10:00, Rolf Wurtz, Product Manager Europe, will be looking at the Trina Solar product and solution portfolio, and in particular at product innovations, including the world-record Honey Technology as well as the Trinamount and Trinasmart solutions.

At the initial on-site workshop on 10 July, Mr Wurtz will furthermore provide practical training to the participants, showing how to install rooftop PV systems quickly and easily with Trinamount, an innovative and cost-effective mounting system for all roof types.

Further events are scheduled for the coming months: online seminars on Trinamount and Trinasmart in July and September, and product workshops in July, August, and September. The full 2012 training calendar can be found at www.trinasolar-training-academy.co.uk.

The Training Academy ties in with the Trina Solar Partner Plus programme launched in the UK in April. Partner Plus is Trina Solar's partner programme specifically designed to meet the needs of installers. Members who participate in Training Academy seminars and workshops stand to earn additional status points to convert into attractive privileges.

Ben Hill, Head of Trina Solar Europe, stressed the importance Trina Solar is placing on its Training Academy as it launches in the UK: "Ensuring that our distribution partners and installers are always in possession of the most up-to-date information about our products and solutions, and helping them develop and apply their knowledge and skills, is vital - we want them to be in the best possible position to deliver the maximum benefits of our innovative PV products and solutions to end customers."

Mr Hill continued: "The Trina Solar Training Academy met with a very positive response when we launched it in Germany, and this valuable opportunity will help those working in the UK at a time of intense competition in the solar installation market. We anticipate developments such as the Training Academy, alongside innovative technology such as Trinamount, as key differentiators that will allow us to stay ahead of our competitors."
