Beltsville MD (SPX) Aug 19, 2008 SunEdison has announced that the company has entered into a 5-year, 800 MW development agreement in North America with Q-Cells International USA Corporation. Under the development agreement, Q-Cells will dedicate solar modules to meet total capacity of up to 800 MW. In addition, the companies will jointly develop and operate PV solar power systems in North America. "This development agreement uniquely positions SunEdison to bring solar to a meaningful scale for the industry and our customers," noted Carlos Domenech, Chief Operating Officer for SunEdison. "As a pioneer of the solar energy services model, we are pleased to bring Q-Cells' world-class solar technology to the market in the context of a fully managed, long-term solution."
