SouthernLINC Wireless Expands Availability Of TeleNav Track

SouthernLINC Wireless has announced that award-winning mobile resource management service TeleNav Track is now available to all business and public sector customers throughout the entire SouthernLINC Wireless Regional Calling Area.

Using GPS-enabled wireless devices, TeleNav Track enables organizations to optimize mobile workforce operations through wireless forms and timesheets, job dispatching and scheduling features, GPS tracking, and voice and onscreen turn-by-turn driving directions.

The workforce management solution allows users to increase productivity and improve customer service, while reducing operational expenses, such as mileage and fuel costs.

"SouthernLINC Wireless recognizes that our business and public sector customers need a powerful, yet affordable, option for mobile workforce management," said Rodney Johnson, vice president of sales and distribution at SouthernLINC Wireless.

"TeleNav Track is a stand-out among mobile resource management services for improving customer service and asset management while reducing operational costs."

SouthernLINC Wireless is offering two TeleNav Track plan options, Plus and Premium. Both include GPS tracking, wireless reporting and timecards, audible alerts, two-way messaging, mileage tracking and customized maps.

In addition, TeleNav Track Premium offers barcode scanning, text directions, audible navigation, wireless forms and job scheduling.

TeleNav Track Plus is $12.99 per month; Premium is $21.99 per month. A subscription to a postpaid cellular plan, a high-speed internet connection, a GPS- and Java-enabled handset, and a $10.00-per-month data plan subscription are also required.

"The Alabama Department of Human Resources has already integrated SouthernLINC Wireless phones and TeleNav Track into our day-to-day routines," said Barry Spear, public information officer with Alabama Department of Human Resources.

"It allows our social workers to respond to clients quickly and with more flexibility and is already proving to be cost-effective and convenient."

San Diego State University Improves MEMS Accelerometer Tunability

Researchers at San Diego State University have developed a new concept for improving MEMS accelerometer tunability. This method can increase wide-band tunability with ranges much larger than current practice, a significant improvement from the previously accepted 5-10%.
