Moscow (RIA Novosti) Feb 22, 2011 Experts are designing a new uniform for Russia's cosmonauts but former spy Anna Chapman is not among them despite some media reports, the chief of the astronaut training center said on Friday. "A few groups [designers] have moved from words to business independently, but Anna Chapman is not among them yet," said Sergei Krikalyov of the Gagarin Astronaut Training Center. Chapman, 28, referred to as a "hot Russian spy" in foreign media, was arrested in New York last June as a member of a Russian spy ring and then deported to Russia as part of a prisoner exchange. Unlike her fellow spies, who have disappeared into the shadows, Chapman has become a celebrity since the scandal broke. She now hosts Secrets of the World, a documentary TV show on Russia's REN TV channel, and in January registered "Chapman" as a brand with the patent service. Chapman has been awarded one of Russia's highest medals for espionage, and in November appeared on the cover of the Russian edition of Maxim magazine, sporting nylon and lace and wielding a revolver. In late December, she joined the ranks of the youth arm of Russia's ruling United Russia party, Molodaya Gvardia (Young Guard) in an apparent attempt to launch a political career. She was named a member of the group's public council. Chapman also accepted a job as an adviser to the president of FondServiceBank and showed up at the launch of a Russian spacecraft.
