REC Solar has announced the launch of its innovative commercial and residential racking system. SolaRak was created by a team of veteran solar engineers working with installers in the field. The technology is an innovative advancement and simplifies the solar installation process while also decreasing the cost associated with traditional racking solutions.

REC Solar first rolled out SolaRak's innovative technology to its large scale commercial clients in California and Hawaii and is now making the same technology available to residential customers.

"At REC Solar our mission is to bring solar to the mainstream. One way to achieve this is to reduce cost by utilizing technology to gain better efficiency. SolaRak is the brain child of a team of dedicated engineers and is the result of many years of research and development," said Angiolo Laviziano, President and Chief Executive Officer at REC Solar. "SolaRak reduces installation time significantly and thus allows us to pass on a lower cost to our customers."

In the past, the solar module manufacturers were the ones concentrating on the research and development of new technologies. However, increasingly competitive market conditions have brought leading-edge installers, such as REC Solar, to create new technologies to improve the durability and reliability of the completed solar systems.

SolaRak is suitable for both residential and commercial customers because it can be used with almost every type of solar panel from any manufacturer. In addition, the racking system adapts to any type of roof and utilizes minimal roof penetrations to ensure a leak-proof fit. SolaRak has received positive feedback from REC Solar's customer focus groups because the low profile installation improves aesthetics, creating a clean and modern look to any roof.

"We're excited to offer this product to our customers who want both aesthetics and durability," said Matthew Woods, Director of Sales and Marketing at REC Solar. "We pride ourselves on providing the best customer experience and over the past eleven years we've experienced a customer satisfaction approval rating of over 99%. By diversifying our portfolio with products we can stand behind we aim to increase our customer satisfaction to 100%."
