Beijing (AFP) Dec 27, 2008 China said Saturday that over 95,000 people have been affected by two earthquakes that rattled southwest China's Yunnan province one day earlier. Nineteen people were injured, including four seriously, in Friday's twin quakes, the Xinhua news agency said, citing the Yunnan provincial civil affairs administration. Nearly 10,000 people were evacuated and were unable to return to their homes on Saturday, according to Xinhua. The two quakes, with magnitudes of 4.3 and 4.9, struck in the early hours of Friday in different parts of Yunnan. Meanwhile, a quake of magnitude 4.0 hit in neighbouring Guizhou province on Friday, with no casualties reported, Xinhua said.
