NativeEnergy And Lindblad Expeditions Advance Eco-Conscious Travel

Lindblad Expeditions says its first goal is to reduce its carbon emissions and then offset its impact with high quality carbon offsets.

NativeEnergy announces a new collaboration with Lindblad Expeditions. By partnering with NativeEnergy, the travel company's carbon emissions will be effectively offset, while bringing critical up-front financing to new renewable energy projects with considerable social value.

"I view climate change as perhaps the single most important issue of our time," said Sven Lindblad, president and founder of Lindblad Expeditions.

He continued, "As we explore the remote corners of the planet, we aim to encourage our guests to be part of the climate change discussion. Our partnership with NativeEnergy allows us to better explain to our guests the complicated landscape of offsets and showcase innovative carbon offset solutions that we can implement in the places we travel such as Alaska and Baja California."

Through NativeEnergy, Lindblad Expeditions will support the Penn England Family Farm methane digester project in Pennsylvania and American Farmer-Owned wind turbines in the Midwest. Lindblad's carbon offsets purchase will help mitigate the global warming impact from emissions generated by Lindblad's National Geographic Endeavour and from the company's New York City headquarters.

"These farm systems displace electricity that otherwise would be generated by burning fossil fuels."
