Lockheed Martin and Cleversafe have formed a new technology alliance that will facilitate collaboration between the two companies to support a new level of storage capacity beyond traditional capabilities.

These Secure, Distributed Storage Cloud offerings will enhance the performance of Active Archive, Data Security, Still Imagery, Full Motion Video (FMV), SharePoint Storage Enhancement, and Distributed Computing.

"Our Alliance allows Lockheed Martin and Cleversafe to deliver Mission On Demand Storage Clouds to our customers around the globe, meeting their growing need to store massive amounts of data being collected," said Bob Eastman, Vice President at Lockheed Martin's IS and GS-National Information Systems.

With the use of this Secure, Distributed Storage Cloud service, government entities will no longer need to purchase new infrastructure as their amount of critical intelligence data grows. They will also be able to exploit historical or previously perceived non-relevant data, making data collection more effective.

"Cleversafe's limitless data storage offering coupled with Lockheed Martin's dynamic Mission On Demand performance and technologies will provide intelligence, defense and civilian agencies with a limitless scale, cost-reducing, and secure storage-as-a-service solution," said Chris Gladwin, CEO of Cleversafe, Inc.

"The ease of use and reduced total cost of ownership benefits of this alliance will enable those agencies to extract critical value from very large scale data systems, and at the same time protect those assets against any type of exposure," said Gladwin.

As part of the agreement, Lockheed Martin will provide Mission On Demand performance and technologies to integrate innovative Cleversafe capabilities into existing and future offerings.

Cleversafe will provide specialized expertise, training, and support to optimize its solutions for mission-specific requirements and operations, and include Lockheed Martin in discussions with government customers.
