Gilat secures $4M contract with DoD

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (Nasdaq: GILT, TASE: GILT), a global leader in satellite networking technology, has been awarded a contract valued at over $4 million by the US Department of Defense. The contract, designated for Gilat's US-based subsidiary, DataPath, will supply DKET 3421 terminals, which serve as portable satellite communication hubs to support secure, flexible connectivity essential for various defense missions worldwide. Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2025.

The DKET 3421 terminals are designed to meet the high demands of mission-critical communication. These terminals support multi-carrier operations with a modular modem system that can scale up to 32 modems. With a compact design weighing under 5,000 pounds and a configuration that enables easy transport by forklift, the DKET 3421 can be deployed in less than three hours, offering a robust satellite network hub on a single skid. This flexibility allows users to adapt to available satellite resources, enhancing operational efficiency in diverse environments.
