True South Renewables has announced that it has entered into an agreement with the AmTrust Group of insurance carriers, to provide a comprehensive insured service maintenance warranty that financially guarantees system performance. Building on True South Renewables' Gold Shield O and M service plans, the new program will be an insured service called Total Care.

The TSR Total Care solution will guarantee the performance ratio for the entire solar system, and will provide greater assurance to the financial investors of solar projects.

The Total Care solution will be underwritten by an AmTrust Group insurance carrier, rated "A" (Excellent) by A. M. Best and one of the largest insurers of extended service plans in the world. The program is being developed and brokered for Solarrus Corporation by Critical Period Insurance Agency, Inc.

Unlike other solar insurance products that only extend the time period or the terms of a particular component's or module's warranty, the TSR Total Care solution will incorporate an insured service maintenance warranty that guarantees the whole system meets or exceeds the generation performance for which it is designed.

"The confidence AmTrust has placed in True South Renewables is a testament to the track record we have in the industry," stated Rue Phillips, CEO of True South Renewables.

"Our Total Care solution will be the only insured service maintenance plan that provides financially insured performance for the whole solar power plant."

The Total Care solution will only be available in the United States initially, and relies on True South Renewables expertise in system commissioning and ongoing maintenance under the Gold Shield service program.

True South Renewables oversees solar operations and maintenance activities across North America. In the past year, True South Renewables has opened offices in California, Texas, New York, and most recently in Ontario, Canada.
