The Hague (AFP) Sept 2, 2008
The Dutch government said Tuesday it would aim to purchase only environmentally-friendly goods by 2010.

"This applies to all products that the central government needs, from cars and catering to buildings," home affairs spokesman Vincent van Steen said.

"The same criteria will apply for purchases from domestic and international suppliers."

Criteria was being developed and would be finalised by next year, said the ministry.
