Dow Jones Alternative Energy Innovations Conference
San Francisco CA (SPX) Sep 12, 2008 As venture funding in the alternative energy sector continues to heat up, with investments in the first half of 2008 totaling $1.42 billion according to Dow Jones VentureSource, the Dow Jones Alternative Energy Innovations conference offers access to 60 innovative early-stage start-ups, a clear view of the current market and expert insights into the sector's future on October 21 and 22 at the Sofitel in Redwood City, Calif. A deal-flow and networking event, Alternative Energy Innovations will highlight 60 early-stage start-ups in batteries, biofuels, energy management, fuel cells, lighting, wind and water. The CEO of each start-up will present their company's business plan and technology to potential investors, acquirers and business partners. All presenters have been vetted by the editors of Dow Jones who sought out start-ups with breakthrough technologies and solid business plans. At the conference, leading venture capitalists, industry analysts, corporate executives and other experts will also share their views on which technologies are best positioned to have a global impact + including in-depth discussions on the future of solar power and biofuels, what it takes to turn green companies profitable, how clean energy initiatives around the world are impacting U.S. companies and what major corporations are doing to tackle their energy issues.
