A research institute focusing on the development of the country's aerospace engineering technologies was jointly founded by the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASTC) on Saturday. The institute, which will study and provide consultative services regarding aerospace engineering development strategies and national special aerospace programs, marks the country's first state-level strategic research and consultative organization in this area. The institute is also joined by the country's leading companies, colleges and other research institutions in aerospace-related fields. "The move will promote the development of the aerospace engineering sector, strategically-important industries, and the application of advanced aerospace technologies," said Ma Xingrui, general manager of the CASTC.
