The US space shuttle Discovery blasted off Monday toward the International Space Station for a historic mission that put more women in orbit than ever. A Russian rocket carrying three astronauts from Russia and the United States docked at the International Space Station (ISS) Sunday, the Russian flight control centre said. NASA late Sunday gave the go-ahead to begin fueling the space shuttle Discovery in preparation for a Monday morning launch to rendezvous with the International Space Station.
