SpaceX's Dragon Spacecraft Completes High Altitude Drop TestHawthorne CA (SPX) Aug 23, 2010 SpaceX has announced their Dragon spacecraft has successfully completed a high altitude drop test - meeting 100% of test objectives. This is the last in a series of tests to validate parachute deployment systems and recovery operations before the craft's first launch. Beijing, China (XNA) Aug 20, 2010China has finished construction of its first unmanned space module, Tiangong-1, and it is testing the module's electronic, mechanical and thermal properties, a military source said here Tuesday. Move Over Caravaggio: Cassini's Light And Dark MoonsPasadena CA (JPL) Aug 19, 2010 NASA's Cassini spacecraft has returned Saturnian moon images from its flyby late last week, revealing light and dark contrasts worthy of chiaroscuro painters like Caravaggio. The flyby on August 13 targeted the geyser moon Enceladus, but also brought Cassini close to two other moons--Tethys and Dione. The raw images include the best ones to date of Penelope crater on the icy moon Tethys .
