Element 21 Golf Company and Frankfurt hasw announced its positive efforts to keep up with the heavy volume of retailer interest generated by its recent successful golf shot in space from the International Space Station (ISS). The extensive media coverage of the extraterrestrial golf shot made by Mikhail Tyurin this past Thanksgiving on television networks and the national press has generated a flurry of inquiries from retailers in the U.S. and Canada, as well as some international markets.

Independent golf retailers, smaller regional chains and Internet based sales outlets all want to know more about the unique high performance benefits of E21's Scandium Alloy.

According to COO Bill Dey, "We have been preparing for this response. Now we have to put the 'pedal to the metal,' to insure that we can convert these inquiries into sales of our golf clubs and put E21's product on the shelves of retailers across the U.S. and Canada. While the golf shot from the International Space Station generated a lot of interest, it is the unique benefits of E21 proprietary Scandium Metal Alloy that we hope will convince retailers to carry our equipment."

Michael Mcdevitt, VP Sales - North America goes on to explain: "We believe that retailers are ready for the E21 performance advantages that exceed titanium, graphite and steel and that E21's space connection helps publicize the unparalleled distance, feel and accuracy of the E21golf clubs."

Inaugurated in 2004, the Columbus Control Center at the German Aerospace Center (DLR)'s Oberpfaffenhofen location is Europe's first 'capsule communicator' (Capcom) facility. The Columbus Control Center is operated by DLR under contract from ESA and Astrium and in 2007 will be responsible for science activities as well as systems and life support for the orbiting Columbus lab.
