Paris (AFP) Oct 29, 2009 An Ariane 5 rocket on Thursday successfully placed two television satellites into orbit, the NNS-12 for SES World Skies and the THOR 6 for a subsidiary of Norway's Telenor, Arianespace said. The dual payload lifted off from the Arianespace launch site in Kourou, French Guiana during the 2000 GMT to 2140 GMT launch window. The launch was the 192nd mission completed by Ariane rockets, and the 48th by the current generation of Ariane 5 rockets. Share This Article With Planet Earth
