AREVA TN signed an agreement at the end of November fora strategic partnership with the Chinese company Shangai Apollo Machinery Co. Ltd in China, a qualified Chinese supplier for the nuclear industry.
The agreement was signed before local authorities and utilities during an official ceremony in Shanghai.
An important milestone in AREVA TN's localization strategy for China, this new cooperative agreement is strongly supported by Shanghai Nuclear Power Office because it represents an important step for the development of the nuclear fuel cycle industry in the country.
Internationally renowned for its expertise in used fuel dry storage technology, AREVA TN will work closely with Apollo to develop storage casks meeting the highest levels of quality and safety. .
"This agreement is a major step forward in the development of solid supply chain in China that to support the continued local development of the Chinese nuclear fuel cycle industry.
"Our relationship with Apollo will ensure that we can support our Chinese customers with competitive, quality products that are delivered on-time," said Benoit Fichefeux, Executive Vice President of AREVA TN.
